The research aimed to develop the engagement in learning the musical rules of among first-year students in the Department of Musical Education, Faculty of Specific Education, Zagazig University through the strategy of competitive blended learning in order to improve their level of achievement, the researcher has followed the semi-experimental approach of two groups (experimental, control) The research sample was represented in a group of first-year in the Department of Musical Education in the second semester of the academic year 2023/2024 - about 30 students. The results of the research indicated the success of the proposed program based on competitive blended learning in increasing the engagement of students of the experimental group in learning the musical rules, which reflected positively on their level of achievement in it. Based on these results, the researcher recommended and proposed several points, the most important of which is work to generalize the use of competitive blended learning in teaching all of the musical subjects whenever possible due to its great impact on the student and his level of achievement and increase his motivation and interest in the subject and his engagement in learning it.
