The study aims to provide a systematic assessment, to identify recent trends in the relationship between corruption and economic growth, using meta-analysis techniques of 21 estimates from 16 applied researches that published during the last five years (2020-2016). The study find the negative relationship between corruption and economic growth, in the absence of publication bias, and this relationship is dependent of the type of data (panel data, time series) and the region (developing and developed countries) and the size of the sample, meaning that the type of region, data and sample size It is responsible for explaining a large part of the heterogeneit, And that economic growth has a negative impact on levels of corruption.
