The aim of the research is to identify the rules of Western solfège that are required to be acquired for first-level students in the Department of Musical Sciences, in addition to preparing a proposed program based on learning styles (the auditory style - the visual style - the practical / motor style - the reading / written style) to develop academic achievement for the solfège rules course. Western and achievement motivation among first-level students in the Department of Musical Sciences and revealing the effectiveness of the proposed program based on learning styles to develop academic achievement for the Western Solfege Grammar course and achievement motivation among first year students in the Musical Sciences Division. The research problem was represented by the weak level of achievement for the Western Solfege Grammar course and motivation for achievement. Among the first-level students in the Department of Musical Sciences, the descriptive approach was applied to present the theoretical framework, previous studies, and the one-group quasi-experimental approach. The sample was chosen from the first-level students in the Department of Musical Sciences at the Faculty of Specific Education, Zagazig University, and they numbered 30 male and female students. The research tools were a test. Achievement of the Western Solfege Grammar course and the Motivation for Achievement Scale. The research concluded the effectiveness of the proposed program based on learning styles for developing academic achievement in the Western Solfege Grammar course and motivation for achievement among first-level students in the Department of Musical Sciences. The research confirmed a number of recommendations, including the need to train those in charge of the educational process to How to employ the practical style in educational situations, given that it is the preferred style among students and the most helpful in developing motivation for achievement
