Rawhi Al-Khamash's style of crafting religious invocations Dr. Shaima Al-Shahat Omara Religious chanting and invocation is an art of Arab music. It has a reality in the souls, its pleasure is in the heart and the pursuit of getting closer to God. The books of the Islamic heritage confirm that the beginning of religious chanting in the Arab and Islamic world was at the hand of a group of companions, may God be pleased with them, during the era of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. A group of followers and those who sang the Messenger, his qualities, attributes and his favorites . Rouhi Al-Khamash excelled in the twentieth century in crafting Arabic melodies for religious and chant supplications, including (The Prayer of You May Be Home for You), (Invocation of Muhammad Danger Al-Mahamid glorifies) and other prayers, chants and religious tawshh, all of which are distinguished by a distinctive character. From this standpoint, the researcher will shed light on Rawhi Al-Khamash's works in religious invocation and chanting through the analysis of some of his lyrical compositions of this type of singing art in Arabic music. Research problem: Despite the flourishing of religious supplication and chanting in Egypt and the Arab world in the twentieth century through the school of sheikhs and recitations, there is a dearth of composers taking religious chanting and chanting in general in the Arab world and Rouhi Al-Khamash, especially as one of the pioneers of composing in Palestine and not benefiting from his style of composing For this Arab lyrical style and benefiting from it in the Arabic music courses related to Solfege, Arabic singing and Arabic musical composition. research aims: This study aims to: 1. Identify the types of religious chanting and invocation. 2. Identifying the method of formulating Ruhi Al-Khamash in composing for religious recitation and invocation (in formulating some religious works Through the analytical and instrumental study of the selected sample of some of the works of Rawhi Al-Khamash for singing and religious invocations. The researcher tries to reach the achievement of the research objectives that were mentioned and suggest the different aspects that we can benefit from in this field and present the results that I reached by answering the research questions. • After that, the researcher concludes her study with a list of sources and references that were relied upon to complete this study, and the researcher recommends including the works of Rawhi Al-Khamash for chanting religious invocations in Arabic music courses and paying attention to the composition of the art of singing and religious invocations in Arabic compositions.
