The study aims to determine the impact of political risks on foreign direct investment inflows to developing countries, for a sample consisting of (102) developing countries, distributed into six geographical regions: Latin American and Caribbean countries, Asia and the Pacific, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, the European Union and Western Europe, and the East The Middle East and North Africa, and finally Sub-Saharan Africa countries, during the period from 1984 to 2016, using the Fixed Effects Model (FEM), and the two hypotheses were validated. The most important results of the study were that political risks negatively affect foreign direct investment flows to developing countries, it is considered the most explanatory variables for these flows, and that most geographical regions in the world that receive foreign direct investment are affected by changes in the level of political risk; The Pacific, and Western Europe, while the least affected regions of the world are Latin America, the Middle East and North Africa.
