Research discusses the philosophy and ideas of Le Corbusier that emerged in his works in the 20th century. His production represents a fundamental and important stage in the development of the "Modern Architecture" in France and Europe. His intellectual theses and architectural works were considered as clear examples of modern architectural thought. Since some of the worldwide works of Le Corbusier have been listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List under title of "The Architectural Work of Le Corbusier, an Outstanding Contribution to the Modern Movement", the researchers have chosen to present and analyze architectural work indicated in the World Heritage List in terms of functional philosophy of Le Corbusier and the appearance of expressionism in these works through identification of metaphoric implications from where thought and symbolism.
