Abstract:
Sixty immature and mature male albino rats were used. Theimmature and mature male rats were divided into two groups, thefirst (1 st ) group of both immature and mature rats were consideredas control group (No= 10 rats) and was administered the corn oilvehicle only. the 2nd group of both immature and mature malealbino rats ( treated group, No= 20 rats) was treated with BPA20}lg/kg b.wt/ day for 65 days. The seminal vesicle showed hyperplasia of the epithelial lining with increased activity, beside the presence of excessive secretion in the lumen- The third and fourth one showed degeneration and necrosis of the spermatogenic cells little number of spermatozoa in the testis, while the seminal vesicle showed atrophy of the epithelial lining, beside the presence of few Secretions in the lumen.Experiment IIFive healthy adult male rats were selected to study the effect of different concentrations of l-arginine on acrosome reaction. Sperm suspension was incubated in Tyrode, s albumin lactate pyruvate ( TALP) medium for 1 hour, then the percentage of acrosome The obtained results revealed the followings:After one hour of incubation l-arginine (5; 10; 20 m mol) produced a significant increase in the percentage of acrosome reacted spermatozoa, while at high concentration (40; 50 m mol) it resulted in a significant reduction in the percentage of acrosome re
