Abstract:
This work aimed to study the role of nitric oxide in ischemia andreperfusion injury in renal transplanted rat model.Rats were first undergoes kidney transplantation according to Zheng etal., 1995 where the right renal transplantation was done by the end- to side’ anastomosis of donor aortic cuff to the aorta of the recipient, the donor venous cuff to the inferior vena cava of the recipient by running suture technique using 1 % ethilon. TL.arginine and a- tocopherol.Biochemical Analysis: Parameters were measured in the sera and urine of all groups and were followed up at different time periods (0, 2, 7, 14 days) after transplantation, these were, BUN, (creatinine and sodium) to calculate creatinine clearance (asglomerular function and FENa + as tubular function). Alsohistopathological study using light microscope, the morphological changes in the kidney specimens were assessed using haematoxylene and eosin stain at day 14 after transplantation.
