Observation on Some Common Mineral Deficiencies in buffaloes in Sharkia Province

Abstract:
In this study seventy buffaloes were examinedwhich consists of four groups.Group I was twenty appearently healthy buffaloes, agingfrom )-7 year and fed on berseem, concentrammixture,rice straw and mineral mixture.Group II was Twenty buffaloes which showed anestrous,aging from 4-11 year and fed on wheat straw and drawa~or dr awa and c onc en tr ate mixtur e •Group III was fifteen buffaloes showed indigestion,aging from 8 mounth to 10 year and fed on berseem orberseem and whes.t straw or berseem, tiben and wheatbran.Group IVwas fifteen buffaloes showed sYmptoms ofalopecia, aging from 2% 5 year and fed on berseem andrice straw.In all animals both serum and diet were used, forsamples with a mean value of 4xl04±8x 103 and 5x106±2x105/g respectively.The lipolytic psychrotrophic bacteria were present in 66% and 92% ofexamined cooking and table butter samples, with a mean value of 2x 102 ±8x 10 and 3 x 103 ± 2x 102 respectivelyPseudomonas spp., Bacillus spp., Alcalig-enes, Flavobacterium,Streptococcus and Enterobacteriaceae could be isolated at varyingpercentages from the examined cooking and table butter samples.IStaphylococci and Acientobacter could be isolated form the examinedcooked and table samples respectively. While Acinetobacter spp. wereisolated from table butter samples only.
