Abstract:
1) Incidence and occurrence of Candidaspecies in manand animals have been studied.(2) Samples from the vagina of women, cattles, sheeps,and camels, sputum of man, milk of buffaloes~ andcrop, proventriculus and gizzard of chicken, werecollected for isolation and identification of Candidaspecies:a. Out of 50 pregnant women, Candida species wereisolated from 19 (38%). These were C.albicans14 (28%)~ C.krusei2(4%)~ C.stellatoidea,2 (4%), and C.tropicalis1 (2%).from 50 non-pregnant women 7 Candida specieswere isolated. These wereC.albicans, 6 (12%),’C.krusei 1 (2%).b. Candida albicans 29 (29%) and C.stellatoidea(1%), were isolated from 100 sputum samplescollected from man complaining from broncho-pulmonary disorders.c. Out of 120.100 and 100 sampels collected fromthe vagina of buffaloes, sheeps, and camels
