Abstract:	Schistosomiasis is the name given to a group of diseases caused by trematodes of the genus Schistosome. Humans and other animals are definitive hosts, and snails of various genera are intermediate hosts. This article reviews the epidemiology, pathology, cutaneous manifestations, and treatment of these diseases.
