APPLICATION OF SOME SOIL CONDITIONERS AND AMENDMENTS FOR MAXIMIZING THE PRODUCTIVITY OF NEWLY RECLAIMED SALT AFFECTED SOILS

Results of the current study point out to some advisable practices as follows:1- Applying soil amendments before leaching process2- Salt affected soils should be leached more than 3 days3- Applying gypsum singly maximizes soil productivity4- The use of sand as a soil conditioner may be helpful5- Using sulphur to reclaim such soils may not be as practical or efficient as gypsum.
