Abstract:
ABSTRACTIn 2003 and 2004 seasons the research was carried out on adult pear trees (Le-conte var.) to evaluate some horticulture managements (treatments) on economic basis (costs and net-return/ year / fed.).Cultivated soil of pear orchard 1-3 times/ year combined with irrigation at morning or night times, beside nitrogen application in split (multi) doses ( 9-12 times/ year) improved growth of such trees, increased setting flowers and retained fruits per tree, decreased DROPping fruits and the yield / tree was increased and fruit quality was improved and vise –versa was noticed .Increased soil orchard cultivation / year and pruned the tested trees in summer season decreased the yield of such trees as compared with trees cultivated 1-3 times/ year and pruned in winter season or twisted their shoots.High costs and less net-return (3254.62 LE/fed./ year) were obtained from trees cultivated more than 3 times / year irrigated at noon time and pruned at summer season, while trees cultivated 1-3 times/ year and irrigated at morning or night times and pruned in winter season or with twist their shoots gained the high net-return per year (7549.25 LE/ year / fed.)..
