Abstract:
bbbthe objective of this work was to study physico-chemical characteristics of treated waste water of Zagazig Domestic Sewage Treatment Station and its effect on the bacteriological load and some heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Cu & Fe) in water samples and some organs (skin, muscle & gills) of Nile tilapia; Oreochromis niloticus and common carp; Cyprinus carpio for 60 days as well as weight gain (WG g/fish), specific growth rate (SGR %), survival rate % of the same fish species. Further, determine the ability of Lemna minor to remove heavy metals Cd, Cu, Fe and Pb from treated municipal waste water, and its effect on fish organs. Furthermore, marketing Oreochromis niloticus and Cyprinus carpio were collected from different markets (Zagazig - Abou-Hammad - Fakous) in Sharkia governorate to determine the bacterial load and concentrations of the studied heavy metals in the skin, muscle and gills to show the probable contamination of These Fishes.
