PHYSIOLOGICAL AND REPRODUCTIVE STUDIES ON LAYING HENS

A total number of 224 hens and 21 cocks of brown Hi-line strain at 122 days of age were used in tow experiments. In each experiment (exp 1 and exp 2) a total number 112 hens and 12 cocks, were randomly divided into four treatment groups 28 hens and 3 cocks in each). Birds in all treatments were nearly similar in the average initial body weight. Also semen quality during storage at 5o C for up to 5 days was studied on cocks injected with Gibberellic acid (GA3) and Indole-3- acetic acid (IAA).
