Genetical And Biotechnological Studies On Anther Culture For Salt Tolerance In Bread Wheat

The induction of androgenesis from wheat anther is strongly controlled by genetical and environmental factors with significant interaction between them ( Lazer et al., 1990; Moieni et al., 1997 and Stober and Hess, 1997 ). The present study was carried out to investigate the androgenetic response of different salt tolerance genotypes under different concentrations of growth regulators as well as relationships between salt tolerance and anther culture response of different wheat genotypes.
