Use Of Composted Town Refuses from El-Zagazig Factory As A Natural Soil Fertilizer

Abstract:
The present study was conducted during the growth season of 2004, at the greenhouse of Faculty of Agriculture, Zagazig University. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of nitrogen fertilization from different sources on soil and plant. The experiment design was randomized block with three replicates. The nitrogen fertilizers were organic source as (town refuse (TR), rabbit manure (RM), farmyard manure (FYM) at rate of 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0%by weight; and mineral fertilizers such as ammonium sulfate 21% and Urea 46% N added at rates of 100, 150 and 200 kg N fad-1. Twenty seeds of maize were sown in every pot and the soil moisture content was adjusted to be around 100% of the field capacity.
