Abstract:
The objectives of the present work may be summarized as follows:1. Design and development of a prototype for inspection sorting and grading potato using LASER technique and automatic control.2. Determine the optimum conditions affecting the performance of the developed prototype.3. Evaluate the developed prototype from the operational cost point of view.The developed prototype consists mainly of two main units: inspection unit and grading unit.The performance of the developed prototype was experimentally investigated as a function of change in electrical motor rotational speed, inspection time period and number of laser diodes.
