Abstract:
The Present work aimes to assess the comparative effects to fertilization response with the organic manure sources of chicken manure, famyard manure and compost as wellas chemical N and P fertilizers applied to potatoes on anewly reclaimed sandy soil. Three field experiments were conducted during 2002 / 2003 and 2003 / 2004 at Aladlia farm, in Belbais county, Sharkia Governorate, to study the effect of organic, bioorganic, and mineral fertilization on potato. I-Organic fertilizers - Three sources of organic manures were studied, compost (treated farm manure), chicken and cattle manures-These fertilizers were added at the rates of 90, 120 and 180Kg nitrogen/ feddan.II- Bio-organic fertilizers -Three sources of bio-organic fertilizers were used:-Bio-compost (compost with Bio fertilizers) & Bio-cattle manure, cattle manure+ bio fertilizers and Bio-poltery manure (chicken manure + Bio fertilizers).-These fertilizers were added by rates of 90 & 120 & 180Kg nitrogen/ feddan.III-Mineral fertilizers-Ammonium nitrate and ammonium sulphate fertilizers were added at rates of 120 kg N/fed. and 180 kg nitrogen/ feddan.-Phosphate fertilizers as ordinary and triple super phosphate which added at rates of 70, 100kg P2O5/ feddan applied as strips along furrows (M1) or as localized in bands (M2).
