Abstract:
The aim of this study is to throw some light on the acute and chronic toxicity of the conventional op insecticide profenophos, the developmental (insect growth inhibitor) insecticide lufenuron, and the bioinsecticide bacillus thuringiensis subsp kurstaki against m. rufiventris parasitized S. littoralis 2nd instar lavae and A.ruficrus parasitized 3rd instar lavae after different periods from the onset of parasitism. during this periods, changes in several biological aspects namely, egg-larval duration, pupal duration, number of cocoons, emergence, sex ratio, and adult longevity were inspected. toxicity of the three compounds (acute and latent) against the preceding mentioned predator was studied simultaneously with food consumption.
