Abstract:
The field work was carried out at the Experimental Farm of Horticultural Research Station, at El- Quassassin. During the three seasons of 2002-2003 and 2004. the present study was conduced to investigate the effect of the different water amounts of drip irrigation (560, 1120, 1680 and 2240m3/f ed.) and different concentrations of active dry yeast (2,. 4, 6, 8gm/L.)on vegetative growth, spals yield and chemical composition of Hibiscus sabdariffa L. The data show that, the treatments of water irrigation amount of 1680 or 2240m3/ fed., poultry manure at 40 m3/ fed. And active dry yeast at concentration of 8gm/L. and their combinations gave the highest values of fresh and dry weights of sepals/ plant and per fedaan, carbohudrates percentage in leaves and anthocyanin contents in sepals.
