Abstract:
The experiments were divided into two separate parts, the first part was conducted in the laboratory of Agriculture Engineering Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Zagazig University, while the second part was carried out in the field at agricultural research station of Gemmeza, Gharbia Gavernorate during fertilizing of barley crop (Giza 125 variety) with fertilizer super phosphate granule before planting. The objectives of the present study may be summarized as follows:1- Investigation of performance of the fertilizer broadcasting spreader in the laboratory as well as in the field during fertilizing barley crop.2- Optimization of some operating parameters (spreader linear speed, spreader blade angle, spreader dip angle and spreader gate opening) affecting the uniformity of fertilizer distribution pattern. (Laboratory experiment)3- Estimation of optimum forward speed affecting the performance of the fertilizer broadcasting machine in terms of fertilizer application rate, yield, energy and cost. (Field experiment)
