Effect of some nutrients on growth

Two field experiments were carried out during two winter seasons of 1997 1998 to study the effects of Mg and K as foliar and soil application and their combinations on growth, yield, yield components, quality and chemical composition of sugar beet under South Dakahlia soils conditions5.1. Effect on growth:Foliar application of 0.5 and 1.0 kg Mg / fed . caused significant increases in plant length, number of leaves /plant as well as fresh and dry weight of root and total weight of sugar beet plant at 155 days after sowing (DAS).
