Abstract:
In the present study , the naturally occurring genetic varition in natural populations of two sibling drosophila species have been assessed and characterized using three different genetic approaches : A molecular approach using the randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) assay was performed with bulked genomic DNA extracted from the studied Drosophila populations using five random primers . A biochemical approach using isozyme banding patterns of esterases (a-Est and B-Est ) . alcohol dehydrogenase (Adh). acid phosphatase (Acph) and alkaline phosphatase (Aph) was performed with homogenates extracted from the studies Drosophila populations.
