The main aim of this research work are To evaluate the mean performance od S,-lines and H.S.family under two different locations Gemmeiza and Sids. Estimate genetic. components; additive, dominance and environmental variation in S,- lines and 8m males and 8f females in half-sib families in both locations and hertability in narrow t and broad t(B) sense.Compare mean perfomance of S,-lines (Embig et al. 1972) and H. Sib families (Comstock and Robinson, 1948 and 1952) cycle 1 of improvement with three local checks yellow maize using two sowing dates and three selection intensity (10,20 and 100%) at both locations using genrtic advance and genetic advance as % of mean.
