Genetical studies on cotton

The objective of this study is aimed to use the triple test cross design to determine epistatic effects contribute significantly to the performance of the three cotton crosses involved the introducting Russian genotype ” Karshinskii-2 ”. Also performance of the resultant families from TTC and predicition of the proportion of good recombinant inbred lines, which could be extracted in proceeding generations from each of the crosses used, were studied. The study was extended to employ clustering technique as an efficient selection criteria to determine as early as possible the promising TTC families that outperform their parents .
