Abstract:
The continuous release of pepper cultivars encourage breeders for further exploiting of the renewable genetic variation displayed by the pepper genotypes. For more progress to be achieved, breeders are in need for refinement, easier, less labors and reliable technique for obtaining unbiased estimastes for the genetic components of variance. So that, the F2 triple-test cross for three crosses ; i.e., G.S X Long Red cayenne(LRC), Peperone di Guneo (PG) X LRC, Was used in the Present work to estimate the Genetic components of Some agronomic traits in pepper. Also, Performance of the resultant families from triple-test cross, prediction of the the proportion of good reco binant pure breeding lines for each of the ceoss used and genetic correlations between the conidered traits were also studied.
