Effect Of Honeybee Queen Substance And Some Natural Materials On The Cutworm, Agrotis ipsilon (Hufn.)

The black cutwworm, Agrotis ipsilon ( Hufn ) is considered one of the most destructive insect pest against many field and horticultural crops in Egypt, So that it was found necessary to replant many crop plantations in many years due to the severe damage caused by the attack of this pest, ( Abdel Hadi, 1968 and El-Kifl elal., 1972 ). Few reports are found in the literature concerning the efficiency of queen substance as control agent against some insect species recording less or more success such as Nayar (1963 ), Taksidi et al . ( 1983 ) and Shaposnikova (1963).Therefore, the present work was designed to study the efficiency of the queen substance of honeybee queens as well as some botanicals as bicontrol agents against the black cutworm, agrotis ipsilon ( hufn.
