Mechanization of black seed

The field experiments were carried out in an area of one feddan at “KAFER EL-HAMAM” experimental research station through successful season 2005 to investigate the effect of seedbed preparation and different planting methods on the black seed yield production.The experimental results reveal the following1- Treatment (T1); (Chisel plow tow passes + land leveler) is recommended for gives the best properties soil and give high yield under the same planting system.2- Mechanical Planting by seed drill and pneumatic planter save about 50% and 73% from seeds3- The highest productivity was 798.7 kg/fed at treatment (B) (Chisel plow tow passes + land leveler + seed drill.
