Abstract:
For increasing the potato production in Egypt by increasing the horizontal cultivated area in sand soils under drip irrigation system is a considerable target. In this repect, using a good cultivar as supplied with a suitable fertilizer sources and rates to overcome the problems of such poor sandy soils. Therefore this work was undertaken to investigate the effect of cultivar, potassium rate, phosphorus source and level on growth, chemical composition of potato plants, as well as yield and quality of potato tubers under sandy soil conditions using drip irrigation system.
