Abstract:
The present investigation was cutlined to delermine an accurate irrigation rate for mature Valencia orange trees under conditions of newly reclaimed land i.e. sandy soil, irrigation with moderately saline water (1135ppm). the tested irrgation rates were:2450.3266 and 4082m3/fed./year the three tested rates were equivalent to about 68.90&113% respctively of the theoretical rate(3608.75 m3/fed/year) calculated by pemman!s equation according to the basic data of the experimental orchard. Each of the tested rates was applied through one or two irrigation lines to assess the role of water distrbutionpattern in water use efficiency. Evaluation the tested treatments comprised : yield and fruit quality attributes, vegetative growth attributes and roots and rizosphere responses.
