Effect of Force Molting On Laying Performance, Egg Quality And Hatching Results Of Some Local Strains

A good molting method is simple and easy to follow. The method should not require many changes of ration. It should not be necessary to weigh feed at different stages of program . Idealy, the molting method should not be expensive. If a lesscostly program gives equal results, so much the better. In Egypt, the major work of force molting was done on commercial laying stocks but very little work has been carried out with local strains. Therefore, this experiment was conducted to study the effect of force molting on the performance of silver montazah and matrouh laying hens duing the second laying cycle.
