Abstract:
In Egypt, success of wheat cultivars to be cultivated in the rain-fed area of the northern coast may depend entirely on the earliness of these genotypes which can enable them to escape from drought that may occur later. also, early genotypes can be usefull to intensive agriculture in the old cultivated land . in addition, they are uesfull in escafull in escaping some biptic and abiotic stresses such as rusts, hot winds and terminal heat in upper Egypt. The present study aimed to understand the genetic control and inheritance of growth stage durations from planting to maturity and the relationships of these stages with grain yield and its components, as well as some other seedling growth characteristics in six parents of wheat ( Triticum aestivum. L.)
