Abstract:
Tilapia fish is warm water cichclid predominantly of Africa and middle eastern origin. tilapias can servive under a wide variety of environmental conditions, being highly eurthermal with a temperature rang between 16 and 40C Tilapia species are among the commercially important inland fishes of Egypt. Tilapia are especially suited for use in wastes fish culture systems scince the fish species are omnivorous and are leas selective in their feeding habits, which exellant tolerance for degrade water quality, hence the need for supplying expnsive artificial feeds is eliminated to a certain extent.The objective of the present study was to investigate the dietary protein requirements for productive and reproductive performance of oreochromis niloticus.
