Abstract:
This work had been curried out to isolate and identify the fungi involved with twigs gummosis collected from different surveyed districts belonging to six governorates. The pathogenic capabilities of the isolated fungi were investigated on different species and vatieties The effect of some physiological factors on the linear growth and dry weight of the most pathogenic fungi ( Fusicoccum sp. ) were studied. The activities of pectolytic and cellulolytic enzymes were estimated in both culture filtrates and citrus twigs. Evaluation of some different fungicides to control the growth of Fusicoccum species under labratory conditions and the twigs gummosis incidence under greenhouse conditions were also undertaken.
