Abstract:
Large economic losses occur in poultry production in the tropic and sup-tropic cuntries. The high summer environmental temperature stresses on the physiological processes and consequently deteriorates the productive capacity of the fowls. The negative nitrogen balance assures under the high environmental temperature and needs to be corrected but not by major dietary modification. Thus the addition of the essential sulfur amino acid i.e.methionino may pave the way for super correction to the performance under the summer like high ambient temperature in summer. The aim of the present work was to find out the effect of the high ambient temperature and its amelioration by addition of methionine to the basal diet on some as pects of laying layers.
