Abstract:
Research dealing with the probable effects of pesticides in the field of fish genetics are scarce and the literature don’t provide sufficient information on this point. Most of the studies conducted on the effects of pesticides on fish were mainly concerned with its toxicity and related biological and physiological effects. In addition, many scientists believe that lack of genetically improved stock is a serious impediment to futher developments in fish farming.Banding patterns of proteins and enzymes that drown by the electrophoresis techniques are the wide spread methods helped to formulate a better idea about the genetic effect and the action of chemicals such as pesticides. The present investigation was carried out with the aim to investigate the genetic toxicity and probable effect of two pesticides on common carp using eletrophoresis analysis of protein and some enzymes.
