Abstract:
This work was designed to study the followig points : Distribution of pea root-rot disease at different localities in El-Sharkia and El-Ismailia governorates during 1993and 1994 cropping seasons. Isolation and identification of the causal organisms from rotted roots and seeds of different pea cultivars as well as their pathogenic capabilities. Interaction between the casual organisms themselves and/or Rhizobium leguminosarum. Effect of seed and root exudated on the fungal growth and the chemical components of these exudates as well as estimation of pisatin induction from different pea cvs. Effect of some factors ( cultivars inoculum density, soil PH, seed colour, seed soaking, soil moisture, growth regulators, distance between hills , irrigation system and NPK fertilizers) on the disease incidence under both greenhouse or field conditions. Chemical and biological control of the causal organisms of root rot disease under laboratory and greenhouse conditions.
