Abstract:
Castor bean (Ricirnus communis L.) is a member of the spurge family(family:Euphorbiaceae). It is generally believed to be native to Africa, however, it may have originated in lndia. because wild forms occur in that country (Martin et al., L976).The annual world castor oil production has been around 400000 t in the 1980 s. it peaked over 500000 t in 1985/86 and was estimated to be 450000 t in 1989190.India is the world’s largest producer with over 200000 t in I989/90 followed by Brazil and China. Prices fluctuated between $ 640 and $ 1720/t in the last 15 years (Schrvitzer, 1990). No, accurate data are available about castor oil production in the ArabRepublic of Egypt, but it has been reported that it mported three tons of-castor oil for a value of 4.000 dollars in the year the aim of this work was to Study of spacing, Phosphorous fertilization, Cycocel and topping on growth, sex radio, seed and oilnyield, and some chemical components of castor bean plants with the objective goal of enhancing the produvtivit of this plant through affecting sex ratio.
