Pathological Studies On Flax Rust In Egypt

The present study was carried out to study the following aspects of the disease: The virulence spectrum of M.Lini local populations in three major flax-producing area in Egypt during 1995/1996 and 1996/1997 growing seasons. To assess the disease intensity variables (disease incidence and severity ) under field coditions. Electrophoretic analysis of protien and isozyme patterns ( esterase, peroxidase, acid phosphatase and glucose-6-phosphate dehydro-genase) for eash of : a) the host: resistance and susceptible. b) the pathogen: virulent and avirulent. C) the lost pathogen interaction : Compatible and non-compatible interations.
