Studies On Root-Rot Disease Of Some Cucurbits In Reclaimed Land

The study was designed to investigate the distribution of root-rot disease of watermelon and cantaloupe at different localities in El-Sharkia and El- Ismailia governorates during 1993 and 1994 cropping season. Isolation and identification of the casual organisms involved with root-rot disease of watermelon and cantaloupe as well as thrir pathogenic capabilities were also investigated . The effect of some agriculture practices include cultivar reaction , soil types, sowing depths, fertilizers, cultivation methods, ierrigation systems and previous crops on disease incidence were studied under greenhouse and field conditions.
