Abstract:
The current investigation is aimed towards studying the comparative effect of different cation on water movement in soil. Moreover, it involves the judgement in soil hydraulic conductivity, whether physical or chemical processes. Under Egypian conditions salinity in the leve type of the adjacent extension localities causes depressions in agricultural potealies in the deserts and the coastal strips. This Work is an attempt to Study the salinity distribution of soil colums due to the upward and downward movement of water from a constant water supply at the bottom and top of the columns, consequently. Several factors are involved in the process. In this study reported, the following factors were studied: HYdraulic conductivity, soil texture, soluble salt concentrations, salt movement and distribution, downward water movement and upward water movement.
