Studies On Downy Mildew Disease Of Cucurbits

The present investigation was aimed to study the following items :Field survey of the disease in three governorates , (Ismailia, Sharkia and Kalubia )and its relationship to environmental conditions , host range and varietal reaction of some cucurbits to downy mildew . In addition, the relationship between number of stomata, hairs as well as plant age and disease incidence with P. cubensis were studied . Also phyllospheric microflora of cucumber leaves and their antagonistic activity against the pathogen was put into consideration .
