Abstract:
In Egypt, their is a gradual increase in buffalo population for milk production. There is also is an increasing trend in raising male buffalo calves for meat production. on the other hand, farmers seem to enjoy feeding their feeder stocker as much as they can eat and they are not up to the knowledge to understand that the excess of feed could be wasted. The main objective of the present work is to Study the economy of fattening buffalo calves under different dietary feed levels, namely, ad libitum and controlled feeding at different nutritional allowances. To fully evaluate the effects of nutritional level on fattening, determination of weigh gain, feed efficiency, nutrient digestibility, ruminal astivity and carcass composition and quality were made available.
