Abstract:
This work interest in fodder beet has increased dramatically in Egypt owing to during summer season at which shortage of green and succulent forage accurs. Fooder beet increases considerably the farm total energy production . It gives the highest D M, energy yields/fad. and weight gain when compared with some fooder crops. The fooder beet roots contain a narrow nutritive ratio, being 1 : 4 . It is recommended to use the fooder beet roots in feeding of the lactating and growing animals . The cows condition were found to be improved by the use of that stuff . In addition the use of fooder beet in rations of high - yielder cows reduces the risk of metabolic disturbances and DROPs in milk protein contents . However , in Egypt, lot of questions regarding this crop , are in need to be answered . The present work aimed to Investigate the effect of five nitrogen fertilizing rates on the yield of two fodder beet cultivars (Majoral and poly productiva).
