In Egypt, farm animals generally suffer from hot weather in summertime where environmental temperature usually range 30-40º degrees. It is a common observation that hot weather causes lack, or sometimes loss, of appetites and consequently reduce feed intake and increase water consumption ( Kamal et el, 1962 ) Bianca 1965 and Johhanson 1965, 1967 ).The reduction in feed intake and increase in water consumption are consisdered signs of certain physiological & nutritional adjustments in farm animals in response to heat strees.
