Abstract:
In Egypt, farm animals generally suffer from hot weather in summertime where environmental temperature usually range 30-40º degrees. It is a common observation that hot weather causes lack, or sometimes loss, of appetites and consequently reduce feed intake and increase water consumption ( Kamal et el, 1962 ) Bianca 1965 and Johhanson 1965, 1967 ).The reduction in feed intake and increase in water consumption are consisdered signs of certain physiological & nutritional adjustments in farm animals in response to heat strees. The main objectives of the study were to Test the Possible effect of high environmental temperature on the nutritional behaviour in merion sheep newly brought from temperte zones to U.A.R.
