Abstract:
1. The experimental laboratory results of the fertilizer broadcasting spreader reveal that optimum distribution pattern and high degree of fertilizer uniformity can be achieved under the following conditions :- Spinner peripheral speed of about 13.08 m/s (500 rpm).- Forward blade angle of +15°.- Spinner dip angle of zero degree.- Spinner height of 50 cm.- Straight C- shape blade.- Gate opening of 16.62 cm2.2. The experimental field results concluded to a definite recommendation of using manure fertilizing machine after development for manuring and chemical fertilization at a forward speed of about 4 km/h to achieve uniform distribution pattern, optimum fertilizer application rate and high crop yield of maize.
