Physiological studies on semi-dry date cvs.in sharkia governorate

During 2002, 2003 and 2004 seasons, 20-year-old Amry date palms grown in sandy soil at Kassasin Hort. Res. Station were fertilized with N, P and K fertilizers at different rates and combinations. Nitrogen and K2O were added at 400, 800 and1200 g/palm at weekly (early March till July 15) and fortnightly (March, April and July) intervals for N and K, respectively through fertigation system. Phosphorus was soil applied at 0, 400 and 800 g P2O5/palm in one dose in Dec. of each season with 20 kg cattle manure/palm.
