genetic studies on cotton seed oil

The present work represents an attempt to throw some light on the genetic behaviour of fatty acids of cotton seed oils, extracted from seeds of five Egyptian cotton varieties and their derived F1 hybrids, by means of diallel analysis. Also, genetics divergent distances between the parents as well as between their F1 progenies are evaluated in order to detect any relationship existed between genetic divergence and heterosis expression based on fatty acids content.
