Technology of Making Silage With Special Reference to Its Nutritive Value

the main objective of the present wark was to study the possibility of using corn stover fodder at 100 days from planting after harvesting the ears at the high moisture stage of maturity of a new hybrid of corn maize (hybrid - 204) and a local veriety (Giza -2) in animals feed either fresh or ensiled, since it was found (Ramadan, 1967) that such practice do not affect substantialy the grain yield. the nutritive values of corn stover as fresh or ensiled using sheep and friesian calves and the effect of feeding concentrate with the stover were also investigated.
